We're John and Cindy Gedritis, and in 2021, we traded city life for the quiet beauty of rural Wisconsin. Tired of fast food and supermarket shelves, we dreamed of a small farm where we could grow and raise our own food, something real, something rooted. That dream led us to bison. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling. After months of research and a leap of faith, we purchased our land from a former bison rancher and began our journey with just four calves and a whole lot of hope.

 

We're new to farming and bison, but we've learned fast through hard work, trial and error, and a deep respect for the animals and the land. After two and a half years, we were finally able to process a few animals and share our meat with customers. The road has been challenging, but every step has been worth it. Each morning, we wake to the sight of our young herd grazing peacefully on the pastures or hay we cut last summer. It's a feeling that never gets old watching these soulful creatures live as they were meant to, strong and serene.
